Many medical devices may not function correctly if they have been exposed to high levels of humidity. High levels of humidity may cause instruments to operate in unexpected or unusual ways, reduce shelf-lives or totally destroy products.

Another of the medical and non-electronic assembly markets for whom safe storage is essential is the non-invasive products that replace eye drops and provide sustained therapy for major eye diseases including glaucoma, dry eye, and allergy.

Last but not least, fiber laser technology.  Legacy lasers are bulky, inefficient and short lived devices which are difficult to assemble and require frequent service. Fiber lasers, on the other hand, are compact, highly efficient and robust devices which offer service-free operation through the entire application lifetime. Thus, they are finding great success for medical applications including ophthalmology, dermatology, surgery and dentistry.
